ABOUT:

Originally from Iceland, Gigja spent five years in Copenhagen, Denmark, before moving to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 2019. With a creative eye and passion for beauty, she was inspired to pursue a career in hairstyling.

After graduating in December 2024, she began her professional journey at To-The-Woods Salon in Chapel Hill, where she received hands-on training and quickly transitioned to working behind the chair. After eight months of building her foundation and confidence, she made the exciting move to Charlotte to join our team at Charles Proper & Co., where she continues to learn and grow as a stylist.

Gigja has a passion for highlighting and blonding, which first sparked her love for doing hair. Over time, she has developed an appreciation for all aspects of hairstyling and enjoys the creativity and variety each client brings.
With a warm and welcoming personality, Gigja loves connecting with people. Her goal is to ensure every client leaves feeling their best
